Storage: flash storage in the capacity selected when ordering. Usable capacity will be lower than the advertised capacity after formatting and system files.

Battery: new high-capacity replacement battery. Runtime varies with listening habits, file formats, settings and firmware.

Audio output: 3.5mm headphone socket.

Charging and connection: Apple 30-pin dock connector.

Standard firmware: Apple’s original iPod software.

Music formats with Apple firmware: supported formats include MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, WAV and AIFF. FLAC playback requires alternative firmware such as Rockbox.

Computer syncing: iTunes on compatible Windows computers, or Finder on supported modern Macs.

Music compatibility: designed for compatible music files transferred from your computer. Apple Music subscription downloads and Spotify offline downloads cannot be transferred for playback on this iPod.

Library size: storage capacity does not guarantee a particular number of songs. Track count, metadata and firmware can affect performance with very large libraries.

Installation & setup

Your iPod arrives fully assembled, with the storage, battery and replacement exterior components already installed. No hardware installation is required.

Connect it to a compatible computer using the included cable, then transfer your music using the appropriate software.

Apple firmware is supplied as standard. If you would prefer Rockbox, please request installation when ordering. Rockbox offers a different interface and playback options, and its setup and music-transfer process differ from Apple’s software.

With so many combinations of storage, housings and components, we don’t keep every iPod variation pre-built. Instead, we assemble your chosen configuration when you place your order.

What does “in stock” mean?

If an iPod is listed as in stock, we have all the parts needed to build it. Your device is assembled and tested before dispatch, rather than taken from a shelf as a finished build.

When will my order be dispatched?

We normally build, test and dispatch in-stock iPod orders within 24–48 hours of receiving your order, depending on our current workload.

This is our build and dispatch timeframe. Delivery time is additional and depends on the shipping service selected at checkout.

If we expect a delay, we’ll contact you with an update.

If your preferred build is unavailable, get in touch. We can check parts availability and discuss the options.

Where parts need to be ordered, they can take 3–4 weeks to arrive, followed by assembly, testing and dispatch. We’ll confirm the expected timeframe before you order.

Warranty & Returns

Warranty
Includes a 30-day warranty against internal component defects or premature degradation. Damage caused during installation, including punctured cells or damaged cables, is not covered by this warranty. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Returns
Changed your mind? Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to cancel, then return the item within 14 days of notifying us. Please include all original parts and accessories.

You pay return postage for change-of-mind returns. If the item is faulty, contact us—we’ll cover the return shipping cost.
